RocketLance: Another Job Board… Seriously?

May 31, 2010 in Other - Viewed 44 times.

Mmmhmm. Despite an overwhelming number of job boards popping up on the internet today – we’ve “launched” yet another. Why? Lots of reasons. Why not?

For those that don’t know, RocketLance was developed by Syneticus LLC – a company that originally started by offering managed hosting services, evolved into a web design agency, and now offers app/software development (A.D.D.?). So what do they hope to accomplish?

Simplicity. As you roam around this job board, we hope you can appreciate our efforts to simplify the hiring/application processes by trimming down the “fat” that other less-healthy and functionally obese job boards rudely shove in your face.

Fairness. I think everyone has experienced this. Being freelancers ourselves, we’ve –unsuccessfully– tried to pick up extra work on various job boards from time to time. Despite the quality of our work, reputation, and work ethic, we were ignored. People wouldn’t even get so far as to read the cover letter. Why? All because we didn’t have 1,000 hours logged a job board. No one looked at our portfolio, bid, or what we had to say. This got old fast… so we just created our own.

Education. If you take one quick look at the navigation, you’ll see we’re more than just a job board. Over the past few years, we’ve spent a lot of time researching new products, apps, methods, ideologies, business practices, and more. We just thought it’d be nice to slap this all in one location – and allow users to contribute as well. Ipso facto, the “blog” and “resources” sections were created.

I think you can tell by our pricing model – we’re not all about money. Our hope is to provide the foundation for various freelancers to establish themselves and enhance their businesses through education and connections. We’ll be expanding this site as much as possible while maintaining the core values listed above. We’re always open suggestions… feel free to contact us anytime!
